JACQUELINE R. PEI, B.A. (Criminology), M.Ed., Ph. D., C.Psych. Dr. Jacqueline Pei is a chartered psychologist with a background in clinical, psychological, neuropsychological, and psychoeducational assessment, as well as experience in counselling in forensic counselling. She is a member of the College of Alberta Psychologists the Canadian Psychological Association, the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta, and the National Academy of Neuropsychology. In addition to doctoral course work in assessment, mental health, development and cognition, Dr. Pei has completed additional studies in neuroanatomy and medical neurosciences through the National Academy of Neuropsychology. Her research for her Ph. D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Alberta focused on the memory deficits present in children and adolescents diagnosed with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. Dr. Pei also brings a wide range of professional experience to her practice, including work with the Edmonton Police Service, the Edmonton Young Offender Centre, and the Alberta Mental Health Board—Edmonton. In addition to being in private practice as an associate with D-V Massey & Associates, Dr. Pei teaches psychology at Grant MacEwan College as well as teaching and supervising graduate students at the University of Alberta and through the Campus Alberta Applied Psychology graduate program. She serves as a psychologist with the Lakeland Center for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and memory, anger management, violence and aggression in schools, and peer pressure. Dr. Pei is also a volunteer crisis counsellor with Edmonton Support Network Walk-in Counselling Program and serves on various professional and community boards and committees, including on the Registration Committee of the College of Alberta Psychologists. |
